Each Somnus bed is handcrafted with the greatest care and attention, and as each bed is made to order, it can be designed around your exact requirements. As well as the more obvious choices you will make about the size of the mattress, the style of headboard and type of fabric, there are many other features of a Somnus bed that can be designed around you to create your very own sleep sanctuary.
Mattress tensions
Our Sensa Intelligent pocket springs are designed to work with your body’s unique shape and movement to provide optimum support and ensure you maintain perfect sleeping posture throughout the night. All Somnus mattresses are available in regular or firmer tensions, to ensure your mattress provides you with the correct level of support. Selected models are also available in a firm ortho tension.
Luxory link
Our King and Super King size mattress are available with a Luxury Link option. This is where the mattress is separated into two halves and zipped together, offering individual sleeping support for you and your partner. It is also a great option if you are concerned about whether your mattress will fit up your winding staircase, or round the corners of your landing.
Base options
If you would like a traditional style of divan choose our deep divan base, which is fitted with smooth running brush-metal castors. Alternatively, you may prefer a more contemporary look in which case a divanstead on legs would be the perfect choice, with solid wooden legs fitted as standard.
All Somnus bed bases contain EdgeGuard, an advanced pocket spring system that works in harmony with every Somnus mattress to provide enhanced comfort and support.
Storage options
Every deep divan base can be configured with your choice of soft-close drawers. Choose the traditional four drawer double, or two drawer single to make full use of the length of your Somnus bed. The four drawer continental option is ideal if you have bedside tables next to your bed and would like to be able to open the drawers without manoeuvring your furniture. Alternatively you may prefer the two drawer double configuration, which only has drawers at the foot end.
