Beautiful Bedrooms
We’re now well and truly into autumn and with nature changing its look outside the window, why not do the same in your bedroom? A few small touches are all you need for a cosy, seasonal update.
As the colder months are drawing in and the nights are getting darker, it’s the perfect time to update your home with the latest Autumn and Winter trends and create a cosy environment for the chilly months ahead.
Whether you’re thinking of a total re-haul or you're just wanting to add a few finishing touches to update your look, read ahead to discover the key trends in interiors this season.
This Autumn and Winter it’s all about seasonal inspiration and bringing the outdoors in. It’s time to update your home with shades that reflect the changing of the seasons. Think vibrant tones of colour changing leaves, berry and bramble shades, warming plum palettes, forest greens and tonal navy blues, all creating a warm atmosphere perfect for dark Winter nights cocooning indoors.
Going for statement upholstered pieces in a room creates an impact. This can be done through a dramatic upholstered luxe fabric headboard in your bedroom, or a velvet or distressed vintage leather arm chair in your living room, both elegant pieces that could totally transform the look of your space.
In the bedroom outdoor autumnal tones can be layered perfectly with dark wood, vintage brass or matte black accents, textured sheets and emerald accessories to add a touch of decadence.
Another key look of the season is still the Scandi style. Remaining a strong trend, this has been carried on into the colder months, focusing on natural elements.
Distressed light wood and handcrafted wicker are combined with large cosy chunky knit blankets, textured cushions and rugs in grey, pale blue and neutral shades. Light coloured walls can also create a clean environment, bringing in as much light as possible when the nights are getting darker. Focusing on well being, finishing off this look with lots of house plants, eucalyptus being a key one of the season and scented candles create an overall calming environment.
